Revlon ColourStay Liquid Eye Pen

What a lovely surprise, I almost forgot that I bought this pen eyeliner last year in New York and even though I was pretty sure nothing can beat my beloved Catrice gel eyeliner, now I am happy to announce that yes, Revlon pen eyeliner is great, very easy to work with, it lasts all day, it has nice and strong pigmentation, and for the first time, I was able to do the flick how I like it (my eyes and small and hooded, not well-suited for a cat eye flick...), I absolutely recommend it. Now, the problem is that even though Inno sells Revlon, they do not have this pen on stock, so wherever you see one, grab one, typically airports or Germany...please do let me know if you happen to locate it somewhere nearby!

Do not despair if you can not find it, I saw that Maybelline are selling similar liquid pens, so they are worth checking out!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and duochrome eyeliner

15 EUR well spent, I think! The foundation - 52 vanilla - is normally 14,90 and the eye pencil - 61 vert doré - 7,30. First impressions...love them both, my skin soaked up the foundation quickly and its yellow colour nicely balanced the redness in my face after the shower. The pencil is just beautiful and difficult to take off, which is a good sign :-)

Open up your eyes

In my opinion, there are three easy ways to look rested, sophisticated and "put together":
  • Blush - for that fresh outdoorsy face
  • Undereye concealer - an alpha and omega in beating the tired appearance
  • Eyeliner - defines the eyes, deepens, intensifies your look, optically thickens and elongates the lashes

Eyeliners are available in many shapes and forms but they have different effects.
  • Pencil eyeliners are easy to work with and chances are you are most familiar with this type. However they smudge quickly.
  • Felt tip pen eyeliners are relatively easy to work with, because they offer a steady tip
  • Liquid eyeliners - I find it really difficult to place them as close as possible to my lashline, my hand is shaking like crazy when I do that, so the result is...shaky. Moreover, they tend to "crack" during the day.
  • Cake eyeliners - usually dark coloured powders pressed into a small pot, they are smudge-proof and the colour intensity is strong
  • Gel eyeliners - are equally long lasting and colour intense as cake eyeliners, there are my favourites
