Kruidvat haul - Essence Vampire's Love, Catrice Duo Blush
Just stopping by on my regular Saturday shopping :-) I got Essence Vampire's Love shimmer powder 2,99 EUR in 01 Lil' Vampire and two Catrice blushes in 030 Pink Grapefruit Shake and 020 Peach Sorbet, 3,50 EUR each. To be honest, I was not too blown away by the Vampire's Love collection, so I only got what took my fancy and it was only the shimmer powder - very subtle, not too shimmery and nicely blendable, definitely a must! And the two blushes, just to add some variation to my typical daily blush :-)

Kruidvat minihaul
Just a couple of things I got at a recent visit to Kruidvat - a set of individual eyelashes (45 lashes in 2 sizes, 6 EUR), blush stick Papagena Limited Edition in CO01 tigerlily, I think it was 3,99EUR, Catrice volume mascara, 3,99 EUR and a nail polish in 130 Lucky in Lilac, 2,49 EUR. If you buy 3 Catrice products at Kruidvat, you get a 25 % discount, so I basically got the nail polish for free :-)

NYC at Kruidvat Belgium
Ladies, it has finally happened, they are starting to place NYC cosmetics into our own, Belgian branches of Kruidvat (probably not all, so we have to find out ourselves). To promote the brand, they launched this commercial:
I have plenty of makeup purchases I hate, no hesitation about exchanging any of those...:-) You do need to download a "bon" from their website, and off you go to the shop. The offer is valid from today, 13. 6. until Sunday, 19.06. Hurry up!
If you struggle as to which product to choose, here is my favourite makeup guru, Emily Noel, spelling it out for us all :-).

Kruidvat salt body scrub - grapefruit
Back to basics! If you are looking for a thorough way how to exfoliate your skin, go for Kruidvat salt scrub. I find it really effective, almost a bit too aggressive, but it does the job done!
Catrice gel eyeliner 010 Black Jack with Jack Black review
Ever since I fell in love with gel eyeliners, I am always looking for a new one that I could test and see how to measures up again my current favourite - Maybelline lasting drama gel eyeliner.
And oh boy, did I find one...This lovely packaged eyeliner costs 3,99 EUR, 4 g, 0.14oz. 010 Black Jack with Jack Black. Purchased at Kruidvat (Dinant).
The colour is highly pigmented and the consistency of the product is...well liquidy gel, that is the best that I can describe it. Once you apply it, it dries up on your eyelid and DOES NOT move, budge, smudge ALL DAY LONG. I was very impressed first time I tried it (admittingly, my expectation were not too high) but I am a convert after I have tested it for days at work and in the evening.
What I love about this gel eyeliner in particular (apart from the perfect design and low price) is the fact that it stays where you place it, it does not smudge onto the lid, effectively ruining your makeup. To prevent that from happening with a Maybelline gel eyeliner, I put black eyeshadow over the eyeliner to settle it (this happens because I put it in a thick line, that is how I like it).
Hence, I highly recommend this product, if you see it - grab it, love it, wear it! Maybelling lasting drama costs up to 15 EUR in Belgium depending on where you buy it (Inno Galeria definitely the most expensive option) - in Aachen it costs 9 !! EUR...and they have a brown and blue variety. Life is not fair :-)

NYC Cosmetics at Kruidvat Netherlands
Dear makeup lovers, it is official, this amazing low-cost American cosmetics brand (New York Colour cosmetics) is now (from March 2011) available at Kruidvat in the Netherlands! Soooo jealous! That is of course excellent news, I am a huge fan, but I can not wait for the Belgian Kruidvat to pick up this brand as well! And where is my long-awaited Essence nail art cracking top coat...:-(

Kruidvat and HEMA haul
A while ago, I went to Ninove shopping center and I of course ended up buying some beauty stuff.
Kruidvat
Essence 6 in 1 buffer filer, to file and prime your nails for varnish application, Essence Sun club shimmer for eyes, body and face (because it reminded me of a Bobbi Brown shimmer brick), Essence oil control paper (you want to blot your face after you have applied the foundation, that way your face is going to stay matte for a longer period).
Catrice allround concealer, beige for imperfections, pink for dark undereye circles and green to neutralise redness. Catrice C3 spiced red eyeshadow (unfortunately, it irritates my eyelids for some reason).
2B Cosmetics jumbo pencil - in the vain hope it would produce the same results as NYX jumbo pencil (as seen on YouTube). It is excellent for highlighting under the brow bone, in the inner eye corner and as a base for shimmery eyeshadows.
Hema
Hema Lovely Eyes false lashes - full and natural sets. They come with their own glue and a stick to facilitate glue application on the actual lash. Made of pure hair, they are super soft and super long, so I would not wear them in a day time (drag queen alert!). I found applying the eyelashes for the first time extremely hard, but practice makes perfect, so...I loved how they enhanced the look of my eyes, but I am going to trim them and apply them only at the outer end of my eyes in the future.
