Claire's makeup

It's not everyday that you go shopping for makeup to an accessories shop, but rest assured that Claire's a good choice for beautiful palettes (smokey eye kit is my favourite), colourful nail varnishes and even brushes! I visited their branch at Porte de Namur and I was in awe as to what a variaty of makeup they offer (glitters all over!).

Essence nail art stylist

This handy tool is perfect (if you have the skills) for placing rhinestones on your nails and for creating various designs. It costs around 2 EUR - a bargain!

IsaDora Graffiti nails

So, it is not only Essence (Kruidvat), Pupa Milano (Planet Parfum) but also IsaDora (Inno Galerie) that tries to catch up with the hype of the "crackled" nails. IsaDora nail varnishes cost 9,90 EUR at Inno, and the choice of colour is amazing!

Essence Colour & Go in 22 - what do you think?

Spring is in the air and orange is the word :-)

I put two coats on, as one looked pretty thin and let me tell you, it is NOT as quick drying as it claims to be, but I do love the colour :-)

This colour is reportedly a dupe for Chanel no 307 Orange Fizz and a pretty similar dupe for Dior Sweet orange.

Lip therapy vaseline

This is such a bargain: you can get it at Kruidvat for 2 EUR, it will last you an eternity (ie the whole winter season) and it will keep your lips super smooth. I usually apply if before I go to bed and throughout the day. Moreover, you can use it on your eyelashes instead of a mascara, if you happen to be the owner of particularly long and dark set of lashes (BTW, this is how the first mascara came into being, vaseline mixed with black pigment). There are 4 variations: original, sun protection, aloe vera and rose.

Morning puffy eyes

For anyone who struggles to open their eyes in the morning, there is a solution to your problem! Just slap these on (Body Basics gel eye coolers cucumber) when you wake up (on a condition that you have stored them in the fridge) and let the miracle happen :-). If the cucumbers worked for our grandmothers, so will they for us, albeit in a gel form.

Essence whoom! boooom!!! cream eyeliner palette

This cute little palette consists of 4 cream eyeliners: white, greek, blue and grey. Since my other Essence eyeliner dried up pretty quicky, I am also wondering how long it is going to take this time.

So far so good, though! I tested the green one today and I am uber happy! It did not smudge all day long and the colour is really pretty! I am not sure what I will do with the white one yet...but the rest looks like fun! The tiny brush that comes with the palette is not suited for the job AT ALL (flat, long and soft bristles...), so feel free to use your usual eyeliner brush.
