Honestly, it was the nails that got my attention in this picture when I passed by MAC store in Woluwe shopping today. What a super idea, now I need to try to do it ;-) Such a simple shape, yet the effect is amazing!

Aachen haul

Just a couple of basics and things I was running out of. The price difference is pretty shocking in some cases. Check this out - Nivea strips cost 3,75 EUR, here it is around 6. Got my favourite mascara, lashes to kill by Catrice and the nail polish 070 Caught on the Red Carpet (very similar to my recently bought Essence one, 113 do you speak love? - but that one chipped off within a day!).

Urban Decay Naked Basics palette

Exciting news! Urban Decay has released a new palette, comprising of matte shades only - 4 of which were never seen before ;-) - Venus, Foxy, Wos, Naked 2, Faint, Crave. This is probably not available in Europe yet, but it certainly made it to my wish list already...27 USD.

Venturing out to the high end, thanks to one very classy lady Eleonora, I am now very impressed with Touche Express - Flash Touch - Wake-up eyecare works (44 USD). Just my collection, by now there are millions of raving reviews, you see one, get one ;-) In Germany they cost cca 7 Euro. Here it is 9 Euro, I believe.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar mat + Serozinc

La Roche-Posay keeps on impressing me with their products, so I decided to get a mattifying base under makeup and a zinc tonic sprey. I have not been testing them long enough to see if I love them as much as I do Redermic, but first impressions are very good. 25 EUR for Effaclar and 10 EUR for Serozinc. Shop IU, Woluwe shopping center. And I got a sample of Avene cleansing gel, how cool is that ;-).

Eylure eyelashes - Sarah

Eylure lash glue is the best I have ever tried. However, I am not as convinced about their eyelashes, they usually only last 2-3 wears, so whenever I see them on sale, I get them. 4 EUR was a good price to pay for these :-). Kruidvat clearance.

La Roche-Posay Redermic R intensive

This was love at first sight, it was showcased in the German InStyle magazine and got me interested so much, that I immediately went to buy it. I got it UI shop in Woluwe shopping center for about 30 Euro. 30 ml, it leaves my skin renerated and plump (dont know how else to describe it...simply better, smoother, younger :)), I use it as a night cream. I have been on a look out for a good retinol cream for a while, and now I found it.

 

Spotted at Inno - Revlon colourburst lip butters

10,50 euro. They feel heavenly on the lips...

Estee Lauder double wear concealer and Clinique stay matte oil free makeup

My all time concealer favourite is Estee Lauder Double Wear in 01, this is actually my 3rd. Love the stuff, easy to blend, does not sink into the wrinkles, excellent staying power...

I wanted to try a mattifying makeup by Clinique, I am quite happy with it, the coverage is light, so beware if you are looking for a heavier concealing. It is very light weight and indeed quite mattifying, though nothing seems to stop my skin from being oily...my shade is 06 ivory. It has not SPF which is a pity.

Inglot nail polish

Two coats are necessary and then it lasts and lasts :-)

Olay regenerist

Normal retail price is around 15 EUR, I believe, on sale it was 10 EUR, 30 ml. I contains fruit acids to peel the dead skin off so be careful when applying it around the eyes. I like it a lot, got it in Kruidvat.

Inglot under makeup base

Just a quick tip for a really well working makeup base by Inglot. Its rather thick consistency (btw odourless) suits well oily skins, you can use it either on its own or under your foundation. I found that it controls the shine of the skin beautifully and it actually tolerates a layer of makeup, unlike some other base creams (Magic Perfecting Base being the case in point).

I love mango and papaya mini collection

A fruity present from Jana :-) Mango and papaya scented body butter, shower gel and a lip gloss. Delicious!

 

Dutch haul

The charming city of 's Hertogenbosch lured me into buying some makeup (remember, this is me on makeup detox...). So, all Maybelline items (gel eyeliner, Dream mat powder in 03 golden beige) were for 10 EUR and Katy Perry Eylure eyelashes were buy one get one free...not much hesitation there!

KIKO face makeup fixer

My very first KIKO product! I wanted a fixing spray for a long time and the only option so far was p2 perfect face. However, I immediately liked the spray head on the KIKO product, it is so much nicer and neater than the rather primitive distributor on p2. 75 ml, cca 8 EUR as opposed to 30 ml and 4 EUR in p2. First impressions (the spray does have a soft floral smell to it) are great, a big test tomorrow, a long office day and an after work event :-). I got this as a gift from Zuzka, who bought it in Italy, in case you wonder...I believe they sell KIKO cosmetics in France.

Makeup detox :-) So I only got the Go Blonder by John Frieda, my second bottle, I love the hair lightening effect and a Bourjois Shadow and Light kohl in colour 12 gris and petale.
