Bourjois Sweet Kiss Naturel in 06 Rose Tendre

Do you know the feeling when you want to love something so much, but simply can't? I have that with my Bourjois lipstick, the second I saw it, I thought I was in love with it, such a gorgeous, gentle shade, perfect to accentuate my natural colour. However, once you put it on, the misery starts. If I pay 13 EUR for a lipstick, I expect it to be at least moisturizing, which is not the case here. The lipstick has a matte finish, and I can guarantee you that it dries the lips quite a bit. It sinks into the wrinkles. Oh my oh my. It is only now that I have tried this lipstick, that I fully appreciate all of my Revlon ColorBurst lipsticks and even a cheap Catrice lipstick performs better than this...very disappointing!

Barry M Lip paints in 147 abd 153

Having heard a ton of good stuff about Barry M lip paints (£4.49, Superdrug, London) I went for two shades in 147 (peachy pink) and 153 (pink ribbon). Supposedly, they have a very creamy texture and excellent pigmentation. I can confirm the pigmentation part, but am I the only person to actually not like these lip sticks? I found them way too drying, they do not apply evenly onto the lips, settling into the creases of the lips. I would not recommend buying them, maybe it is just these two shades?

I love Revlon ColourStay lipsticks, almost unbeatable in how they feel on the lips, with the absolute winner for me being Clinique and their lipsticks and lipglosses.

Revlon ColourBurst lipstick in 025 Carnation

Revlon ColourBurst lipstics are simply amazing, creamy and moisturizing. I decided to be a bit adventurous and went for a light fuchia shade, called Carnation. I ADORE it, I would wear it every day only it is quite a specific colour...

Essence lipstick in 53 All about cupcake

A bubble gum smell, a low price and a moisturizing texture - you get all of these in buying an Essence lipstick. I was really well imressed by its performance and how light it feels on the lips, almost as a lip balm.

Revlon ColourBurst lipstick Peach

Not only was I taken by the beauty of the Coral Reef lipgloss, but I also succumbed to the temptation of Revlon's ColourBurst lipstick in Peach, 075. Given that I really like my other two Revlon lipsticks, the decision was pretty easy, with the upcoming summer season, a peachy-coral lipstick looked like just the right choice :-).
The lipstick has no smell (good news after Rimmel's airy fairy) and has a creamy texture which feels light on the lips. The formula is non-drying (at least on me), but then, this is not a super a long-lasting lipstick. The colour is soft, with good pigmentation and extremely wearable for everyone, definitely a good investment.

Rimmel long-lasting lipstick 070 airy fairy

Having watched hundreads of YouTube makeup videos, I kept on hearing about a certain perfect shade of neutral pink that is suitable for everyone. I managed to buy it in January in New York, I think it was Walgreen's for cca 5 USD (4 gr). It is however also available around Brussels, just find your nearest Kruidvat.

Pros: the neutral pink, wearable colour that finishes any makeup, the colour intensity
Cons: sweet-plasticky smell, golden shimmer in the colour, lip-drying formula

Honestly, I do not see the reason behind all the hype around this lipstick, it is like your any other cheap lipstick...hence I would not repurchase it.

Revlon Colourburst lipstics

It is not an easy task to find a perfect nude lipstick, the one that does not make you look dead, that does not dry your lips, the one that is going to last more than 5 minutes. I have heard so many good things about REVLON's Colourburst lipstics, that I had to treat myself to two (rosy nude 065 and soft nude, 070), even if I'm not a lipstick person per se.
Rosy nude and soft nude

Rose nude colour is a touch too red to my linking to call it nude, but it is a nice soft colour if you want to start wearing a red lipstick but have not yet gathered the courage to do so. I am in love with the soft nude, it has a beautiful sheen and it keeps your lips moistured, no wonder so many women love it! The colour payoff is strong and the packaging is really sexy :-) (hello plaid!) I bought my lipsticks at Inno Galerie, 10,50 EUR each.
